The boat needs to go so grab a bargain.
They have lowered the price to allow for tranportaion costs as there is a lot of interest from outside Cornwall.
I am selling on behalf of my wifes family. It is a Broom Ocean 30 moored on Truro river cornwall. It has 5 berths, two single bunks forward, a single in the aft cabin and a double in main cabin when table is lowered. The engine is a Thornycroft 108 38hp diesel, It has 3 brand new batteries, Fire extinguishers and fire blanket, There is a gas 2 ring cookerand grill, a gas fridge and a gas heater all working. There is a shower, sink and toilet, Loads of strage space with lots of cupboards and draws. There is a fresh water tank and a tank for hot water. There is also a sink in the galley which has a filter tap. It is a lovely boat very comfortable to be aboard. Ideal for trips up and down rivers/canals. STRIDER 24 TURBO “ TIGGER”
Tigger is a Palamos built Strider. The hulls were moulded in 1988, but the boat wasn’t completed and launched until 2000. The boat was finished using the best materials and equipment available at the time and has proved to be a very good sea boat and successful racing boat.
HULLS: Moulded in 1988 from GRP and finished in off white gel coat. The hulls are coated with 9 layers of gel shield from new and are in excellent condition
FOILS: Carbon/ply/glass dagger boards built to an elliptical design and coated in Nautix NX194 super hard slip paint.
Rudders are Firebird design in carbon/foam with carbon tillers and link bar. The steering on Tigger makes the boat handle like a go cart and is one of many things that makes Tigger so much better than any other Strider.
TRAMPOLINES AND BEAMS: The fore and aft beams are tubular aluminium. The mast beam is glass/Divinicell and encompasses cockpit instrumentation and the stereo speakers.
The trampoline is one piece and is in very good condition.
RIG: Z Spars 10m rotating mast and boom, with wire shrouds and forestay, vectran runners, bridle and bob stays. All halyards are Dyneema and clutches are sized and spec’d to suit. All blocks, winches and jib furling are Harken as is the traveller.
SAILS: Carbon/twaron D4 mainsail by Doyle with a large roach.only used this season

Working Jib – Kevlar – Sanders
Blade Jib - Dacron – Doyle
Storm Jib
Screacher – Pentex- Doyle
¾ Spinnaker – Doyle
Mast head spinnaker – Sobstad
ELECTRICS: 12V lead acid battery, charged by the engine. Tacktick speed, depth instruments. Radio cassette with Sony water proof speakers mounted in the cockpit. Nav lights. Icom VHF with masthead ariel. Interior lighting and breaker panel.
ENGINE: 4hp mariner Sailmate.
TRAILER: Custom built by Ambrose trailers with a single axle and braked. The trailer also acts as a launching trolley, as it spreads out to enable the boat to be assembled ready to sail and then driven down the slip way.
The boat is in first class condition and ready to race/cruise. |
