As describe by YBW, a Centurion 32 is the yachting version of a Jaguar. Classic design, beautiful lines, fast and loads of fun. The Centurion 32 is well regarded as a blue water cruiser, family boat and liveaboard. A Centurion is sturdy, safe and very reliable. Happy in a good wind. Electra sails like a dream, is responsive and nimble. Under engine she is highly manoeuvrable – thanks to her short fin keel.(Lister Petter Alpha LPW2 Diesel (1996) Rebuilt 2018). Her sturdy sneg rudder is attached down the length and so is well protected. There is plenty of deck to lie on in the summer, she is easy to climb back on after a swim, with deep stern steps that fold down. And importantly, she will keep you safe in a narly sea, cosy in a storm.
Electra is a well-maintained example of a Centurion with original interior. Crucially, she is the sought after example of the Centurion 32 where the mainsheet traveller is positioned up against the companion way step. Fitted with AIS, GPS, G4 router, with Starlink connectivity (Starlink not included). Durable, reliable engine, pressurised hot water, modern navigation electronics and solar energy. Ready for day sailing, adventuring and blue water cruising.
The interior is 95% insulated with thermal, flame retardant insulation. It is wood panelled and the soft furnishings are in red tartan. On-passage layout easily converts to comfortable sleeping layout. It is a really lovely original (with adaptations) and well maintained interior. The galley is equipped with a good cooker and a small effective fridge (not part of the original spec). Heads (large and spacious) encompasses a warm plentiful shower.
After 8 wonderful years of sailing her off the Scottish Highlands, we are reluctantly changing to a larger boat - driven by grown children and extra crew. The price reflects the condition of the boat, upgrades, equipment, solar arch and cockpit canopy. We are happy to take offers within reason and subject to the spec.
