Description
Miss Lilly is a 2011 custom built deep-vee hull power boat that incorporates the distinct styling of the classic Riva Aquarama design above the chine line.
Built using Frame Stringer Construction from Western Red Cedar, she offers elegance in design, performance on the water and an intoxicating sound from her twin V8 engines.
With performance in mind, Miss Lilly features twin Mercruiser 496 Magnum 8.1 Litre V8 engines, offering 850hp combined.
Reaching speeds in excess of 55knt's.
Engines and outdrives have recently been serviced and present with low hours of only 120 in total. She is currently lying in St. Mawes, Cornwall, UK with viewings available by appointment only.
Hull Design And Build
Frame stringer construction, bottom below chine in 3 × 9mm plywood, topsides in 1 × 12mm Western Red Cedar strip planking and 1 x 6mm Utile laid fore and aft. Fastenings in either silicon bronze or stainless steel. Epoxy used throughout as adhesive and for coating hull inside and out. Deck in 6mm plywood overlaid with 6mm Utile and Teak. Cockpit in 6mm ply overlaid with 6mm Utile/Teak and Teak gratings. All stringers, spray rails and chine in Douglas fir. Plywood used throughout is anchor marine Khaya mahogany, BS 1088 specification.All visible varnish work on the boat is finished in SP 320 and coated with Ultravar 2000 varnish.
Engines
Twin Mercruiser 496 magnum 8.1 litre V8 400 hp engines driving through jack and drive shafts to Bravo One sterndrives units. Morse rack and pinion steering to Mercruiser power steering unit. Four x four inch exhausts outlets, though transom. Mercruiser smart craft dual control box with trim and tilt buttons. Engine hatches and bulkheads fitted with sound-proofing. Bennett trim tabs fitted.
Cockpit
Designed to seat up to nine adults, with access to small cabin. Wraparound laminated glass windscreen with hinged walk-through centre panel. Sun bed aft, over engine compartment, leading to transom. Dashboard fitted with full engine instrumentation: V.H.F., G.P.S., switches for electrics and trim controls.
Wiring
All electrics protected by circuit breakers or fuses, as specified. Wires all running through conduits and into splash-proof boxes, as required.
Safety
Fitted with bilge flood alarm, automatic bilge pump, automatic fire extinguishers in engine compartment with manual extinguishers in cockpit area. Blowers fitted in engine compartment, petrol fume detector.
