Description

I am selling my boat that I built and launched in 2002 in anticipation of moving to New Zealand. She is very robustly built intended for long distance cruising, as well as the ability to dry out safely in shallow water areas. I have sailed her to the Caribbean and back, as well as all over Brittany, Ireland and Scotland. The keel lifting mechanisms are a 4 ton electric winch and a 5 ton chain hoist for redundancy. The engine is keel cooled with a dry exhaust. From the photos one can see that the accommodation consists of a large double bunk up forward, the saloon and table with 2 metre long seats/berths, the galley and chart table and wet locker separated by the keel case, an aft cabin narrow double or wide single bunk to port and toilet compartment to starboard. Masses of lockers, 100 gallons of water, 120 gallons of diesel. Aries self steering is the latest model and is superb. The rig is gaff cutter with main, roller reefing staysail, jib on Wykeham Martin furler, topsail and jib topsail.

All steel construction, multi chine. 3mm plate, except bottom plating 8mm and 4mm. The lifting keel is removable through a hatch on deck.
