The Ark is a very large houseboat moored in Penryn on a beautiful tidal creek of the Fal estuary. It has five bedrooms, one bathroom,a long corridor, large upstairs kitchen, and a very large upstairs living room with a woodburner. Moorings, mains electricity, mains water. Woodburner, electric radiators, plus an additional Webasto central heating system. She is a converted concrete dumb lighter originally built for service during the Second World War, and used for transporting supplies to the Mulberry harbours after the D day landings. She is a flat bottomed vessel with a single chine which provides a slight rise of floor in the bow and stern to improve water flow when being towed in a seaway and the deck line lifts towards the bow and stern but is otherwise flat. The casing accommodates a large living room and a kitchen which is accessed by double doors situated at each end and there a stair well to the lower accommodation which includes large double rooms at each end plus three other bedrooms which are situated on the starboard side and extend to the centreline. To port there is a wide corridor with a toilet /sink/shower room amidships. Structural survey available (no issues). Apologies for poor photos, far more impressive when on board! Viewing appointments available. Serious offers only. Please email for further details. mattroseark@gmail.com
