This tough little long keeled 26 footer is very stable, easy to keep on course and very reassuring when conditions get challenging. Similar boats have trans atlantic pedigree( 1972 OSTAR ) and in 1985 18 year old Tania Aebi circum navigated the globe !
"Countess Isabella" has been based in Fowey since 1990 and we have her full history since then. We purchased her in 2021 as we were re-fitting our wooden folkboat which she closely resembles.
She was originally powered by a Vire petrol engine , but this was replaced by a Yanmar 1GM10 diesel in 2005.
The cockpit is self draining, auto helm if required and with a Garmin map551 chartplotter. Down below the nav table has a Garmin 120XL sat nav, VHF, sounder etc. The galley has the original butane stove and there is a manual Jabsco heads.
There is a boom furling mainsail and a new Plastimo furling genoa. We fitted beaching legs as she winters on a drying mooring along the Penryn River near Falmouth . There is a spray hood if required.
